2012 logo campaign

One of Daily Common Sense’s mission is to inform people. My most popular article is my article about 2012 and why it shouldn’t be feared. It eventually got divided in a series of 3 more articles about poles shift and planet X. I’ve received a lot of comments and positive feedback from the community and I think it’s time to go one step further about that 2012 scam. People are extremely scared and I received confidence from people who couldn’t sleep at night or go to work because of 2012 and the fear of not making it further than that date. I feel extremely good about the fact I helped so many people get on with their lives and this is all because of proper information. That’s what Daily Common Sense is about.

Now, I provide you with a couple 2012 logos you can use freely. You can resize them if you want to fit your needs but please don’t modify them because I would like them to be official 2012 logos. If you have a suggestion for a logo you would like to have, drop me an email and I will check with you. Use them on your blog, forum signature, MSN avatar, Facebook or whatever.

If you want to link the logo to my article, feel free to use the following link: 2012 explained - Why it shouldn’t be feared

Use them so that people can reach a good level of knowledge about 2012, I’m sick of hearing stupidities about this date and with the power of the community, we can fight!

Spread the word!

Money demon

I’m really sick of all these “How to make money online”, “10 steps to make money online”, “How to monetize your blog” stuff because it’s always the same story over and over again. There’s no science to make money online: Write QUALITY content, update regularly and get involved in your niche/social networks! Crap = No traffic & Quality = traffic. I’m amazed there’s not much articles about what NOT to do in order to make money online. That’s what really matters, you can do a lot of stuff right, but are you doing a lot of wrong stuff? So here’s my list of 10 easy ways NOT to make money online:

  1. Blog for money if you are not an experienced webmaster: You’ll spend more time thinking how to monetize your website than to add quality content. It’s a sure fail.
  2. Write because you’ve fixed yourself a X post a day quota: Trust me, you’ll loose more readers by writing a crappy article than you’ll loose just by waiting one more day to write a quality article. Don’t write if you don’t know what to write about, it’s a bad article guaranteed.
  3. Spend the entire day watching your Adsense Account: Stop refreshing your Adsense account every 2 minutes in the hope of earning a couple more cents! Spend that 1 hour you loose on Adsense everyday to write.
  4. Assuming your blog design is not important:Your blog design is important! Not more than content, but that is what will give your blog a unique touch and will help people to remember you. Make it look professional.
  5. Spend your day on Digital Point for tips: 95% of users on Digital Point don’t make a single dollar per day and are there because they think making money online is easy. You’ll mostly get as an answer to your tips requests: “Get in the finance/medical to make money”, “Get involved in a more paying niche”, “Fill your site with Ads”, etc. False, just be the best at what you do and the rest will come.
  6. Not getting involved in social networks: Social networks are full of webmasters and making friends in your niche is what will make your website earn credibility and a good reputation. Contributing to the community will ensure you a strong position and people will want to link to your website. Don’t underestimate the power of social networks.
  7. Build links to build links: Stop thinking only about backlinks! It’s true it is important to get good rankings in Google, but write quality content, get involved in social networks and backlinks will come.
  8. Steal content: If you have to steal content to write your articles then you will never get a top player in your niche. You can quotes other websites, get article ideas from other websites but write your own content. That’s the only way to be a top player: Having something unique to offer.
  9. Fill your page with Ads: Until you can earn really decent money from your website, don’t fill it with ads. What’s the point of ruining the user experience for 1$ per day instead of 0.50$. You’ll have trouble earning credibility with that kind of approach.
  10. Don’t talk about your website: You have to think your blog/website is the best in your niche. With that approach you’ll feel confident to talk about it, refer people to your articles and spread the word about how your blog is the best thing since sliced bread. Talk about your website, that’s the only way to get traffic!

I hope this helped and that it sounded a little bit different that what’s available on every “Make money online” website. These are really honest tips from a honest blogger. I’ve made some of these mistakes and it doesn’t pay off.

Be clean, play fair, be a leader in your niche.

John Chow is a legend in “making money on the internet”. He actually recently claimed on T.V. that he was making 30k a month with his online business, which is mainly johnchow.com. I’m pretty sure it’s close to the true numbers as he’s really known to make a lot of money from his websites. Anyway, the point of this article is to express how I feel he is insulting every honest blogger out there with one of his recent post. He posted an article on viral videos and how it can help you drive traffic to your website. He actually made a viral video which is total crap. While being a working way of driving traffic to your website, I think it has to be done in a very clever way to be efficient. Obviously, he didn’t.

The video is at the end of the post if you can’t wait to see it and don’t want to read the rest of this post. But, rest assured, I couldn’t watch more that 60 seconds of the video so you can wait. For every honest blogger out there, the video is an insult. I personally try to post intelligent articles with good content every 1-3 days. I get extremely positive comments and this guy comes in, making 30K a month, and does the worst video I’ve ever seen to promote his website. Honestly, the video is a total pain. He probably got a couple more readers with that video just because he is “John Chow”. I would have lost all reputation by making this video, but unfortunately, he’s still quietly making 30k a month. Maybe he’s more clever than all of us and tried to make the shittiest video available so I would link to his website. In this case it worked, but it’s still an insult for all of us.

Here’s the video for your non-entertainment:

According to this website, the earth axis tilted an additional 26 degrees recently. Quite strange we didn’t notice it because by looking at pictures, it looks to be quite an important change.

Before

axialtilt2.jpg

After

26d_increase_axialtilt2.jpg

Do you really think a 26 degrees axis shift can happen without anything more than increasing volcanoes and earthquakes like mentionned on the website? 26 degrees is huge and would mean MAJOR climate changes. There’s also the fact that we would notice a difference in the amount of light we receive from the sun everyday and a major difference in the Sun’s rising and setting positions. There are hundreds and hundreds of examples we can come up with just to prove this theory doesn’t make sense, it’s just another proof of the amount of disinformation available on the web.

Flying spathetti monsterHere is an interesting Parody religion I found on Wikipedia:
Flying Spaghetti Monster (also known as the Spaghedeity) is the deity of a parody religion called The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and its system of beliefs, “Pastafarianism”. The religion was founded in 2005 by Bobby Henderson to protest the decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to require the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to biological evolution. In an open letter sent to the education board, Henderson professes belief in a supernatural creator called the Flying Spaghetti Monster which resembles spaghetti and meatballs. He furthermore calls for the “Pastafarian” theory of creation to be taught in science classrooms.

Beliefs

Henderson proposed many of the beliefs in reaction to common arguments by proponents of intelligent design. The canonical beliefs of Flying Spaghetti Monsterism are set forth by Henderson in the Open Letter, the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and on Henderson’s web site, where he is described as a prophet. The central belief is that there is an invisible and undetectable Flying Spaghetti Monster, which created the entire universe “after drinking heavily.” All evidence for evolution was planted by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in an effort to test Pastafarians’ faith — a form of the Omphalos hypothesis. When scientific measurements, such as radiocarbon dating, are made, the Flying Spaghetti Monster “is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage.” The Pastafarian belief of heaven stresses that it contains beer volcanoes and a stripper factory. Hell is similar, except that the beer is stale, and the strippers have VD. The religious text of the Pastafarian religion is called the Loose Canon. In place of the Ten Commandments, it contains the Eight I’d Really Rather You Didn’ts. The official conclusion to prayers is “RAmen”, contained in certain sections of The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and so on. It is a portmanteau of the Semitic term “Amen” (used in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) and Ramen, a noodle. While it is typically spelled with both a capital “R” and “A”, it is also acceptable to spell it with only a capital R.

Pirates and global warming

Pirates global warmingAccording to the Pastafarian belief system, pirates are “absolute divine beings” and the original Pastafarians. Their image as “thieves and outcasts” is misinformation spread by Christian theologians in the Middle Ages and Hare Krishnas. Pastafarianism says that they were in fact “peace-loving explorers and spreaders of good will” who distributed candy to small children, and adds that modern pirates are in no way similar to “the fun-loving buccaneers from history.” Pastafarians celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19. The inclusion of pirates in Pastafarianism was part of Henderson’s original letter to the Kansas School Board. It illustrated that Correlation does not imply causation. Henderson put forth the argument that “global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of pirates since the 1800s.” A chart accompanying the letter shows that as the number of pirates decreased, global temperatures increased; the absurdity of this demonstrates how statistically significant correlations do not imply a causal relationship (see confounding).

For more details about this parody religion, visit the Wikipedia page.

Very clever. Period.

Apparently, UFOs have been spotted over Lake Erie. This is about 2 months old news but I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of people who didn’t see the video. Before going into comments and reactions, let’s watch the video:

There are three kinds of reactions for that video. The first possibility can be: “Look at how the medias always turns UFOs stories into a laugh. They just want to hide this from us by making us believe it’s pure comedy and pure nonsense. The governement is hiding something from us and the population needs to know! UFOs Exists!”

The second possibility is: “UFOs are pure human invention and it’s a definitive scam as usual”.

The third possibility, which I prefer is: I won’t say UFOs don’t exists as there’s no way we can be sure of that. In fact, it’s hard to believe humans are the only form of intelligent life in this universe. Anyway, that’s not the point. What I’m sick of seeing is lights in the sky with a poor resolution and a confident UFO hunter saying on T.V.: “There’s no doubt these are UFOs. It’s time for people to know and that is the proof UFOs exists”. People have been chasing UFOs for years and years without being able to provide a real proof of their existence. Now we have High Definition camcorders being more affordable than ever. If you guys want to prove it, it’s now. The technology is there, stop providing cell phone videos.

I posted an article about the future of Internet advertising on my technology blog Adopt A Packet and I think it might be of interest for a lot of persons at Daily Common Sense.

Internet Advertising has reached a certain limit and Google experienced it recently. They’ve recorded a drop in the number of clicks on their banners displayed all across the web. Even if they say it’s because they’ve increased the quality of their ads, which means they’re more targeted, they have to face the reality: There are more “ad blind” people than 5-10 years ago when Internet Advertising all started. SunI received a comment yesterday on one of my article about pole shifting. This was a reaction to the fact that I said recorded previous poles shifts on Earth took about 5,000 years to complete. This comment was that a magnetic pole shift happened on the Sun recently, which is a bigger mass than Earth and it didn’t take 5,000 years to complete. Thus, a pole shift can happen on Earth and real fast.

I’d like to clarify that. The answer I’d like to make official would be: If I can peel a banana, then why can’t I peel a strawberry if they both are fruits?

Unfortunately, while kind of funny, it isn’t really a proper answer. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense and can be an official answer…But let’s elaborate a bit. First of all, the Earth and Sun aren’t like the banana and the strawberry because they both aren’t planets. That’s the first mistake of the affirmation: comparing the Sun and the Earth like being two similar things. The Sun is a star, while the Earth is a planet. This makes a huge difference because the minute you know that, you can’t compare both equally.

The other important thing to consider is that the Sun is known to be on a 11 years cycle. What does this mean? Every 11 years, there’s a magnetic pole reversal happening on the Sun. Longer cycles have been recorded of course, but it’s usually an 11 years cycle. Does the Earth have such cycle? Luckily, no.

I’m not saying a pole shift can’t happen in a single day on Earth. While there’s not much chance of seeing that happening, who knows? The problem is “If it happens on the Sun it can happen on Earth”. This is not true and it is the kind of argument too often used in different domains. The Sun and Earth are two completely different things. Don’t forget that stars are mostly made of gas, while this ain’t the case of planets.

I continue to think that “If I can peel a banana, then why can’t I peel a strawberry if they both are fruits?” is the best answer to that argument. Because even if the Sun would’ve been a planet, there’s no way you can go with that kind of argument, affirmation being true or false.

I was doing my daily search for scams and I came across a website promising weight loss miracles. Yes, another one. If you want to have a look, here’s the website: Wu Yi Source. They promise you’ll loose weight simply by drinking tea which is a lot better than taking 10 pills per day. What about 30 minutes of exercise per day? Well, they don’t mention that really because it’s a proven fact that the easiest way to this day to loose weight is to take pills. Anyway, the point is not to say it’s a scam as it’s like every other weight loss program.

What is funny with this program is that they completely laugh at people with the traditional before and after photos. Let’s have a look:

Here we have Brook before and after:

Brook fatBrook slim

Here we have Michele before and after:
Michele FatMichele slim

Of course they lost like 30 pounds, they are not the same person! How can someone be stupid enough to believe these things? You definitely know you are being scammed when the before and after pictures aren’t the same person! I am still amazed. More importantly, how can someone put these pictures online thinking they are solid proof for their product?

If someone thinks these are the same persons, well I’d like to hear your arguments!

Tesla Energy ShieldHere’s today scam. It’s another great product aimed at healing yourself and regulating the energy around you. This amazing product is brought to you by Life Technology and is really one of the best scam I’ve seen lately.

What is it?

I would like you to have a look at these quotes from Life Technology website to understand what the Tesla Purple Energy Shield is all about:

Life Technology™ are priviledged to have been given exclusive access to some of Tesla’s papers and with the assistance of a US electronic engineering company, we have been able to update and upgrade the original design of The Tesla Personal Oscillator. The final product, The Tesla Purple Energy Shield™ combines the original Tesla principles of harmonic oscillation and design considerations with sophisticated state of the art electronic componentry.

100 years after Tesla’s original invention of The Tesla Personal Oscillator, Life Technology™ have created The Tesla Purple Energy Shield™, a device whos uniquely synergistic effects are profoundly more powerful and effective than the original Tesla device.

The Tesla Purple Energy Shield™ outer shell is made of aluminium, which is first anodised (electrolytic oxidation) and then colored. The spin of the atoms and electrons of the aluminium is thus changed in such a way, that The Tesla Purple Energy Shield™ is said to vibrate in resonance with the fundamental energy (Chi, Prana, Orgon) of the universe. The Tesla Purple Energy Shield™ coating was developed by Ralph Bergstresser after a patent and from the knowledge / information and ideas of Nikola Tesla, with whom he worked in the 1940s. With anodising, the field of the plating is changed and interacts with tachyons. The surface of the plating has a unique crystal-structure.

The chemical composition of the outer purple shell is the same as that of rubies and sapphires, which also consist of aluminium oxide. We know that rubies give energy and thus were called “life-stones” in the Middle-Ages.

Amazingly, the Tesla Purple Energy Shield can be used for:

Protection against EMF and electromagnetic radiation , Increases energy levels, Heals on all levels of mind body and soul ,Delays fatigue, Increases physical strength and stamina, Enhances quality of sleep, Retards aging, DNA repair, Completely clears negative energies, Acts as a 24/7 psychic shield, Energises food and water, Beneficial energy for animals and plants, Improves intuition, Assists connection to the divine source, Increases psychic abilities, Enhances meditation and prayer, Facilitates ascension, Increases synchronicity, Enhances manifesting skills, Facilitates astral projection and lucid dreaming, Use as a pendulum in chakra and aura balancing, Use as a transmitter pendulum in distant healing, Use as a tuning pendulum in radionics, Use as a pendulum for radiesthesia and dowsing.

The Scam

This does remind me of a certain Alex Chiu. Yes, that guy selling Immortality rings. When I look at the list of what the Purple Energy Shield can do, I’m amazed of seeing “Retards again, DNA repair, assists connection to the divine source, facilitate ascension, etc.” At least they won’t say that will make you immortal, but for the price you pay for this little gem it would actually be nice.

The Price

The Tesla Purple Energy Shield come in different versions:

1. THE TESLA PURPLE ENERGY SHIELD™ ORIGINAL VERSION @ $199.95.

I came across an interesting article located here: Alien Bible Translated. Once again, total nonsense at its best. Fortunately, it comes from a “fake” news website. I find it reassuring as it looks totally fake and that’s the purpose of the website. The real danger is that I realized people are actually believing this, without even checking where the news was coming from. Here’s a summary of the article:

WEEKLY World News sources have confirmed that a professor at Webster University — the birthplace of the world-famous English dictionary — is in possession of a book that was printed on another world. What’s more, the thick volume isn’t a cookbook.

“It’s an alien bible,” said 41- year-old linguistics professor, Dr. Emmanuel Johnson, whose skill with foreign languages has earned him the nickname “Magic.” “And wait till you hear who their god is!”

Back in his library, Dr. Johnson opened the container.

“Being whacked against the foreman’s head had loosened the top,” Dr. Johnson said. “It popped right off. I began to wonder if, in fact, that was how the aliens opened containers on their world. If so, they must have suffered brain damage over time.”

Inside, Dr. Johnson found a small, thick book. The cover illustration showed a constellation that bore the unmistakable likeness of Oprah Winfrey. Stunned, he opened the book, which consisted of multicolored, cloth-like materials. The writing glowed when the professor looked at it.

“It was an illuminated manuscript,” Dr. Johnson explained. “I was immediately able to translate the title, which is called Their Eyes Are Watching Me. The book was comprised of two sections: A Sacred Alien Testament: Written and a Sacred Alien Testament: Oral.”

“The Oral Testament actually speaks to the reader,” Dr. Johnson revealed. “Naturally, it talks in the authoritative but reassuring voice of Oprah.

“It begins with a section called ‘Syndication,’ which encourages aliens to do good deeds on other worlds, including the Earth,” Dr. Johnson continued. “We suspect that the alien visitors who owned this bible were missionaries, members of Oprah’s ‘The Angel Connection.’ It instructs acolytes on the basics of worship, including the use of something called ‘the remote.’

Please, we really have to stop that kind of things as it makes every UFO believer lose credibility. I know it’s fake news, but people are sadly actually believing this. I know it’s a small majority of people, but that’s too much.

I particularily enjoyed: “The cover illustration showed a constellation that bore the unmistakable likeness of Oprah Winfrey.”

Anyway, I thought it was a funny article, but unfortunately, some people believe it.

I read an article today about the fact that we will be told soon enough that Jesus Christ has returned. It is a very long article firing in about 50 different directions making it one of the best(funny) article I’ve read recently. The article is located here: Not just a prince, The Prince so you guys can have a read. Be prepared to read about 50 subjects in one single article, ranging from NATO, Royal family, Tarot, meteorites, Russia, Australia, Bible, Heath Ledger(that’s true) and a lot more! But first, let’s quote on here a couple of “out of context” quote for our entertainment:

Soon enough we are going to be told that Jesus Christ has returned, it sounds out of this world…but sure enough…on TV, in all the papers, probably amongst a bit of chaos…someone is gong to announce; “We got ‘JC’ over here”. It is going to blow everyone’s minds, people are going to panic, people are going to get on their knees and the people on the other side of a pending war are going to announce…Bullshit!

NATO is a military organization that was founded by the United Kingdom and other Western European states, it quickly included other Royal countries like Denmark and in an effort to balance the state of play at the time; the United States was added to the alliance. Now most of the issues that you have in Eastern Europe today relate to an old agreement called the Warsaw Pact which basically relates to NATO and Russian forces.

So if NATO is the side that the Prince will be part of, Russia will be the opposing side who will one day exclaim…Bullshit. So who is the strapping lad that you will one day be told is the Son of God, again? Prince Charles? Prince William? The drunk one? What about Tony Blair…you see most of us are expecting someone who can speak for themselves, perhaps a diplomatic heavyweight or at least someone of the majority.

Now we have a number of meteor showers that occur annually; they are a very well known and documented. During the month of October, right around Prince Christian’s birthday, the meteor shower is called the Orionids and this is very significant because of the constellation Orion. Orion is known as the constellation of Osiris which represents Spring…keep that in mind for later.

Recently the world experienced a very interesting phenomenon which seemed to come out of nowhere…The Da Vinci Code. Most people were unaware of the very old story about the next child of God in fact being a rose or a woman. Now this fact is well understood by the Papacy and indeed the participants are well instructed in this conundrum. When Princess Mary constructed her very own Coat of Arms she was very coy about explaining why she had decided to include a golden rose right in the middle.

Matilda Rose Ledger is the daughter of the now deceased actor Heath Ledger; he died on 22 January this year. He is of course Australian with both Scottish and Irish heritage. The events surrounding Heath Ledger’s death are such that nobody will ever really know what happened to him before he died during a brief visit to New York. Indeed Matilda Rose Ledger’s birthday is 28 October 2005.

So where does all this leave us? What else has to happen for all this to start unfolding? And what will happen when the Royal Family makes their claim? In answering the last question first, I along with Russia will exclaim; Bullshit! And then I and my daughter will make our claim and if we are right we will eventually be killed in Jerusalem (wherever that is, I take nothing for granted these days) some time from now.

This thing goes on and on and on…A pretty good read if you feel up to the challenge of following 50 different irrelevant stories at the same time. Enjoy!

Ok, here’s a good one. While browsing on my favorite scam websites and forums I came across an interesting question:

WHAT IS THE SPEED OF DARK?
Really, it must travel.

That is really interesting. Just so that everybody knows, there is no such thing as “dark”. There’s light and dark is actually absence of light. So basically light travels, but dark can’t really travel as it’s no light. If you consider dark as not being something like a “black hole” then it simply travels at the same speed as light because it’s still light. It’s not because it’s dark that there’s no light…

Maybe some Daily Common Sense reader can provide a different point of view. Something like following new studies, there could be something as “dark” traveling…I’m waiting for these theories.

Anyway, just thought that was quite a weird question.
