Olympics again - mascots seen as signs of times
Posted by: | CommentsI posted a little something a couple of days (weeks?) ago about the 2012 Olympics and how its being used to spread the 2012 doomsday theory. Now, a new theory has surfaced about the Olympics’ mascots and it is once again totally ridiculous. The theory tries to link China’s earthquake disaster and other recent catastrophes with the Olympics mascots. smh.com.au published an article about it and here’s the theory:
The five Olympic mascots are Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, Nini and Beibei. Jingjing, a panda, is the animal most closely associated with Sichuan province where the earthquake struck.
Huanhuan, a cartoon character with flame-red hair, is being linked by bloggers to the Olympic torch that has been dogged by anti-China protests on its round-the-world tour.
Yingying, an antelope, is an animal confined to the borders of Tibet, which has been the scene of riots and the cause of international protests against China, the bloggers say.
Nini, represented by a kite, is being viewed as a reference to the “kite city” of Weifang, in Shandong, where there was a deadly train crash last month.
That leaves only Beibei, represented by a sturgeon fish, which online doomsayers suggest could indicate a looming disaster in the Yangtze River, the only place where sturgeon is found.

The Sun revolves around Earth: It’s getting worst
Posted by: | CommentsThis is taken from a post on a certain forum (I want to preserve anonymity):
The Sun has no atmosphere such as Earth, science says the Moon orbits because of the balance between inertia and gravity, constantly falling but never falling, understanding this, the Earth would crash into the Sun because the Sun has no atmosphere, the massive gravitaional pull of the Sun would have already crashed the Earth in it.
The Sun and the Moon are the same size, this why an eclipes looks perfect! If they were different sizes one would attract the other due to gravitational pull and collide, but if they are equal, they counter each others pull.
If the Earth did spin, WE would all be dizzy by now?
According to you’re science the sun and stars are the same, therefore they don’t move, Earth moves around the sun, hence, where ever the planet is around the sun, we should not be able to constantly see the constellations, there would be a point were the Earth would be on the other half of the sun and Earth would only be able to see the constellations coming around the bend. But that’s not the case is it!
If only for that single post, school is important. Oh, and the Earth is flat by the way! Why does everything has to be a damn conspiracy? The Earth revolves around the Sun, end of the story. Then what, other planets from our “solar” system also revolves around Earth I guess? Oh, and if the gravitational pull of Sun is too big meaning we would crash into it, do you really think the gravitational pull of Earth would be strong enough to keep the Sun revolving around us? That would mean comparing the Sun with the Moon in a certain way…In fact, that’s what the guy says: the Sun and the Moon are the same size!
Anyway, I don’t even know why I’m arguing.
A different look at 2012
Posted by: | CommentsA DCS reader pointed out this website in one of my article about 2012. While I don’t believe much of what’s written in the article, the author is looking at the 2012 date in a way we’re not used to see with doomsdayers. You can have a look but I think the core of the article can be explained by these couple of lines:
WILL WE SURVIVE?
Yes, we will. A human is not and has never been his body. He is his mind, with all its virtues, lusts, evils and defects as I described in my article about Quetzalcoatl.
WHO WILL SAVE US?
The Hindu Triad or Holy Trinity is Brahma, Shiva (The Destroyer), and Vishnu (The Preserver). Shiva and Vishnu are also part of the Unbegotten Brahma. In reality, Shiva and Vishnu are also the same Deity, for Vish is just a reversal of “Shiv.”
Shiva will protect us again, as he has always done in past Maha Yugas. He will swallow the poison of our evils, turning his throat blue. From then on, throughout all the other successive Kali Yugas, Brahm, through his Shiva and Vishnu aspect, will send out sons in the flesh who will die on their crosses to reassure us that we will always be redeemable.
I’m pretty sure you get the picture. While I don’t think it makes much sense, at least it’s not one of those “everybody is going to die” theory.
15 Misconceptions about Evolution
Posted by: | CommentsI found an article I think you will enjoy about evolution’s misconceptions.
iological evolution is descent with modification. This definition encompasses small-scale evolution (changes in gene frequency in a population from one generation to the next) and large-scale evolution (the descent of different species from a common ancestor over many generations). Evolution helps us to understand the history of life. While evolution is very widely accepted, many people hold to misconceptions about it. This list should help to dispel some of those myths.
You can read the complete article with the top 15 list here.

How aliens work?
Posted by: | CommentsI stumbled upon an article from howstuffworks.com and it is definitely interesting/funny. The article is called “How aliens work” and can be found here: http://science.howstuffworks.com/alien-physiology.htm
That’s it, nothing more, just a quick post
2012, Olympics and Aliens
Posted by: | CommentsJust when I thought I had seen everything about aliens, 2012, numerology and all that stuff, I found this article called London Olympics 2012 : Zion (The New Jerusalem)
I mean, have a look if you are interested in linking 2012, the Mayan calendar, aliens and 11:11 numerology all together. It is an interesting read but definitely failed to convince me. In fact, if you read the article, they lost me when starting to link the whole thing with numerology and particularly 11:11.

Eat chocolate and cut your risk of heart disease?
Posted by: | CommentsAn interesting article surfaced today on cnn.com regarding scientists in the UK looking for 150 women willing to eat chocolate for a year as part of a study. Don’t worry, it’s not a “Supersize me II”, the women aren’t expected to eat only chocolate for a year; it will be introduced into their diet.
The goal of the trial at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, eastern England is to test whether a natural compound found in cocoa could cut the risk of heart disease among women with diabetes.
The chocolate used in the study is a special type of chocolate :
A Belgian confectionist has created the special chocolate bar containing high levels of flavonoids — a plant compound that has been shown to reduce heart risk factors — to be used in the experiment. Soy, another natural source of flavonoids, has also been added to the bar.
And the hypothesis behind that study is:
“The hypothesis of this exciting study is that flavonoids may improve the level of protection against heart disease over and above that provided by conventional drugs,” said Dr. Ketan Dhatariya, a consultant in diabetes at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
I guess there are a lot of worst studies to be part of. Actually, eating chocolate for a whole year with the only goal of helping science is kind of interresting…
UK readers, jump on that one!
Tesla Purple Shield: Buy a dog ID for 199.99$
Posted by: | CommentsThe famous Tesla Shield. Still wondering if it’s a scam? I mean, how could I prove it doesn’t work? I’ve talked a lot about it, said it was a scam and today is time to prove it. Thanks to a DCS reader for pointing this out to me: you can actually find a little something on Amazon that looks so much like a Tesla purple shield. Oh wait, it’s a Tesla purple shield.
First let’s have a look at what Life Technology says about their device:
The Tesla Shield™ has two active elements which act in synergy with one another. These are the bioactive outer shell which was invented and developed by Nikola Tesla and his assistant Ralph Bergstresser, and the bioactive internal module which was developed by Life Technology™.
The specialist bioactive outer shell of The Tesla Shield™ was developed by Nikola Tesla and Ralph Bergstresser. The bioactive outer shell of The Tesla Shield™ is created by the Tesla/Bergstresser process and allows the device to resonate with the cosmic energy particles known as tachyons. The Tesla Shield™ emits a positive tachyon field with a radius of approximately 10 meters which is capable of penetrating any material substance or living organism.
Ok, so we are talking about the outer shell of the Tesla Shield here. So let’s have a look at a picture of this outer shell:

Now, let’s have a look at an Aluminum Anodized CONTAINER DOG ID HOLDER you can easily find on amazon.com at a terrible price of 9.99$ for a pack of 6:
Oh…How similar is that? Let’s read again:
The specialist bioactive outer shell of The Tesla Shield™ was developed by Nikola Tesla and Ralph Bergstresser. The bioactive outer shell of The Tesla Shield™ is created by the Tesla/Bergstresser process and allows the device to resonate with the cosmic energy particles known as tachyons. The Tesla Shield™ emits a positive tachyon field with a radius of approximately 10 meters which is capable of penetrating any material substance or living organism.
I think it solves it all, you can’t say this device ain’t a scam when you know it’s a dog id holder. How would you feel to wear a dog id holder? I would feel like I’m being ripped off. Oh, yeah there’s also the fact that they sell this crap for 199.99$ when it actually cost 9.99$ for a pack of 6.
What about the inner component? God, they sell you a dog id holder saying it was developed by Nicolas Tesla, can you really trust what’s inside?
I hope people Google a little before buying, this way they can find this article and don’t buy a 199.99$ product that’s actually worth 2$.
