Let us talk about 2012 in TV, Movies, and more. Have you seen the trailer for 2012. This is stupid how they tell you to google search 2012 to purposely scare you. It's just stupid. Also History channel is making a special on it but what I find laughable about it is that the main topic of it is Nostradamus' prediction, which just shows that this is going to be incredibly biased. So, what do you guys think of all this?

Memberhey captain Chris! very interesting topic! i think the media has had a very important role on this 2012 hype... from the history channel (which a lot of people watch in confidence that what is exposed is true) to videos in youtube (where one random guy can say that he dreamed the apocalypsis in dec. 21 2012) including weird websites (with TONS (i mean a bunch of theories that go from aliens to time travel, to Nostradamus, to the prophecies of st. Malachy, including the economical crisis, climate change, solar radiation and flares, the stupid non-existent planet X, volcanic eruptions, polar shift a new state of consciousness, unconditional love and a meteorite )of information about SURVIVING 2012 and how this and that book can save you and your family for only $28.99 -because money is still important after the end of our civilization-) and of course FOX news and end of the world fanatics who seem so happy that everything is just going to explode ...weird and scary, not a good combination
and yeah, i watched the trailer, it was like seeing my worst nightmares on the screen... will i go see that movie? maybe to get over my fears...but nah! TOO SCARY!! and i will only be giving money to the hype caused by fear... because when you think about it, a lot of things nowadays are based upon fear...security measures, movies, news, TERRORISM...i would like THAT to end!
so i found this web page concerning the work of John Major Jenkins who states how he appeared in this history channel documentary concerning 2012 and how his point of view was totally missed and even manipulated to transmit this message of fear

i dont think there is going to be as much fear as time goes on. im pretty certain that more and more people will come out debunking the stuff and proving it wrong. and ive noticed that most people just shrug at it and look at it like another Y2K hoax. and of course there will be people who take it seriously and are terrified, theres no denying it.
and the movie trailer is really stupid! it looks like it would be a great cinematic movie to see for the graphics and action, but im not so sure i want to give money to the people who made it. the "google 2012" thing at the end really made me laugh and it made me MAD. the first 2012 website, survie2012.com, is basically an advertisement for a book. it even mentions "There is zero scientific evidence that anything will happen" and then lists ways that could end the earth any time but certainly wont (like asteroids and pole shifts). i havent seen much of the 2012 stuff in the media other than the history channel (which gives a horrible one-sided view without even mentioning a scientist who disagrees) and the movie.
in the google search for 2012 the USA TODAY article debunking the hoax is on the first page. that's good.

All these stupid 2012 doomsday videos are really pissing me off as well. Why are some of them rated 5 stars? I'll tell you why, because it was on the History Channel. I can't even begin to describe how much the Youtube community are like sheep. Every time they see something on a television screen (History Channel 2012 Documentaries), they automatically believe in it. There was even this one guy on Youtube who said "I didn't believe in Y2K, but I think that this time, the end will happen". ALL BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID BIAS ONE-SIDED DOCUMENTARY, WHICH IS ALSO OWNED BY THE DISNEY CORPORATION!!!!!!!!

"is time condensing? is time speeding up?" is 2012 the END OF TIME? IMO YES! and its about time.
universe resets to where it was at the time of creation. this has happened before.
creation....7 days....god.....adam eve.....hell?.....no.....just you....and me.....forget those last 2.....its just US......not U.S but us, we, from every body to every one.
2012 isnt about battleing the forces of GOD and trying to survive another BIBLICAL disaster. its about sitting down and finally acknowledging our shortcomings, failures, weaknesses, and HUMAN ADDICTIONS as ONE being. we are all interconnected whether you like it or not, THIS IS SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN, its not youtube/internet extrapolation.
