    I heard some stuff about aliens MENT to invade earth on October 14th 2008, Of course, nothing happened but I would just like to know more about this failed prediction!

    But what has kinda creeped me out is that, OK... It's a long story! In 1977, someone claiming to be an alien hijacked signals on 12 TV stations in the UK, the ''thing'' made a long speech. It was somehow connected to the October 14th thing, According to the net. Yeah, sure, The hijack could of just been a human making a hoax but as that was 1977, it would be quite hard to do!

    ahh i remember this. people all over youtube started claiming to be able to contact aliens (specifically the Galactic Federation of Light) and they said that the GFoL would visit earth on that day to tell us everything would be all right.

    When they didnt come they said that the aliens had "postponed" until sometime in February.

    i forgot who but some famous british lady was the one who started the thing.

    i dont know if i need to tell anyone but its all a hoax

    I'm not so sure it would have been as hard 1977 as it may seem. Back in those days Radio Shack actually had wide selection of electronics parts. Now it's mostly mail order. I remember right around 1987 here in Chicago the Local PBS broadcast was Hijacked for 10 minutes during Dr. Who (ironically). Once you have a transmitter with a little power to it, all you do is change the broadcast frequency. 12 stations wouldn't be hard after you hijack the first signal.

    When I witnessed this as a kid, I find it more disturbing than your video because of the disapearance of Max Headroom a year later.

    3 years after that I went for an electronics engineering degree and suddenly, it didn't seem as much of mystery.
