I was thinking about 2012 and all the doomsday prophecies linked to it tonight and I started to make a recap of all the events that are supposed to happen. It’s when you do that recap that you understand properly nobody know what they’re talking about. Here’s the list of 2012 events:
- Pole shift
- Magnetic pole reversal
- Planet X getting near Earth or hitting Earth
- Meteor hitting Earth (Thanks Nostradamus)
- Planetary alignment leading to a major gravity burst with Earth being swallowed by the center of the galaxy.
- New dimensions opening
So basically, in 2012, the Earth’s axis of rotation will be modified, the north and the south pole will swap, Planet X will hit Earth as well as a meteor, the Earth will be swallowed by the center of our galaxy and new dimensions will open giving new possibilities to humans.
That is assuming all the events are happening at the same time of course. But you know, when there’s just so many possibilities, to me it just sound nobody know what they’re talking about. It’s the same as saying: “Something will happen in 2012″. Come on. All these events don’t even make sense when put together and can’t physically happen at the same time.
Make one single credible theory and I’ll start listening, but until then…
I have to agree with the whole 2012 thing bring a steaming pile of shit. I have heard so many different theroies that I just cant keep up with it. In fact, if you go to any website stating the Myan calander, and a list of whats to happen on Dec 21st 2012. Highlighted in red, it states that its purely a myth. My prediction on 2012 is:
~ Traffic will be jammed due to last minute shoppers
~ My wife will ask me to get somthing she forgot at the store
~ Future Shop will be packed for the vidiots who need their XBOX fix

Now on y2k many of these fanatics had the crazy assed thought that the world was going to be aniliated due to a massive computer failure, which, in turn; would send all of our missiles around the world. What happened on New Years Day??? Well for me, and everyone out there who has a life, a massive hangover.
This is where common sense, which apparently isnt so common, comes into play, they are purely myths, nothing is going to happen, and I can pretty much guarantee that when Dec 22 rolls around, the fanatics will be no-where to be found.

Hi, I have unfortunately been one of the suckers that’s gone all paranoid about this 2012 stuff – I don’t even know how it happened! One minute I was browsing an msn news forum on UFOs and the next minute I’m fearing my certain doom in 2012!! Anyway, I have found your sight very informative (and reassuring!) however, there are a couple of things I am concerned about and can’t quite shake off:
Firstly WR104 – a star that MAY blow a destructive path of gamma ray radiation in our direction… God it could have already happened and we won’t know!!
Secondly, this is not a planet X thing as such, but I read an article in a newspaper in England and it worries me!! A second, duller start (possibly a brown dwarf) that’s due to come round again on its large orbit and cause another mass extinction as happened to the dinosaurs… this has an eery sense to it as it apparently occurs every so many million years and would go some way towards explaining the yet unexplained reason for the sudden extinction of the dinosaurs… any thoughts? reassurances?!

The problem is that scientists are aware of the galactic forces aligning in a timely manner like we’ve never seen and they all have theories about what will happen. No one can come forward and say this is what will happen. It’s all speculation and that’s why you have so many theories and BS stories out there. From what I’ve read and learned I’ve accepted that something will probably happen and or if it does then I’ll deal with it. How can you really prepare? Start digging a hole in your backyard?

I’ve done my fair share of open-minded research, & still can’t make up my mind 100% either way. I don’t claim any religion & only claim to have a very simplistic sense of FAITH, but I do believe that [most] of our souls are eternal. I can’t help but wonder; With as F’d up as the world currently is, maybe a “reset” would be for the better!? I personally think we all intellectually feel some kind of change coming, maybe it’s just because I voted for Obama. To be safe [& not sorry] just remember; if ALL the birds, animals, bugs & rodents in your area start a mass migration… it might be a good thing to follow them. Almost ever site i try to research the possibilty of an actual doomsday is trying to promote a book leaving me to believe that people are just trying to get rich off easily scared people. A lot of things will def go bad Dec 21, 2012 and leading up to this day. I don’t know if I believe the world will end but I believe enough people will buy into it and try to prepare for it by buying all the water they can, food, batteries, flashlights, some idiots will try and build underground shelters. So there will be a shortage of everything! People will create panic and so will the media. On Dec 22,2012 people will be in line at customer service trying to return everything they’ve bought. The world will not end but people will panic and make life difficult for everyone who doesn’t panic.

Also, I read this and the other article about why we shouldn't be worried about 2012. The only doubts in my mind are the Large Hadron Collider and the possibility of mini black holes being formed as a result of atom smashing, and the results of the whole alignment thing (something I haven't looked into yet). That's something I need to research a bit.
I highly doubt that it will be the end of the physical world/extinction of humans. My theory is that the day will result in a major change of thinking, and it will be a positive one. Like a massive wake-up call about the current environmental destruction. And I'm assuming that this "wake-up call" will result in this over-hyped 2012 bull that's been circulating around the internet for so long. Everyone's going to know about this in the next few years, which will cause massive panic and fear. Even I was sick to my stomach when I found out the details about all the predictions. Thanks to viewing this site, I'm less in fear and more hopeful and eager for the future.

i know exactly whats going to happen on dec. 21, 2008. people will freak, go buy bibles, candels, water and food. there will be a lot of traffic. no one will go to work. i will day dream about waht awesome things i’ll get for christmas.then at like 4 0r 5 i’ll watch the sunset eary. then people will really freak out. i’ll stay up late watching tv. then i’ll go to bed.i’ll wake up and watch the embarresed look on people’s faces. i was freakin out about all theis doomsday sh*t. there are just so many ideas (my favorite, the lizard people)i think people scared themselves into all this. if i die, i die. i could die tomorrow, whats the difference about dieing in 4 yrs? if some apocalyptic event does happen, well look on the bright side. you get to go to heaven and be greeted with 1 zillion-cachilion dollars and an extra large slushi that will never melt! its a win-win situation! nothing is going to happen. if you ar afraid like i was, it’s okay. dont worry about it. everything is gonna be ok.
I agree… It comes when it comes. In my opinion, death has been with us from begining to end. So why fear it. But I think some of the media, and the way may embellish to sell more of a product Its quite obvious. The end to me has been, always. I guess i may not have the needs to buy me some adult dipers just yet (at least until I turn 90)…. 'Cause i tell you what, if all that end of the world happened at the same time, It would be a crazy out flow out of me… It would be like, "Oh Crap!!, the asteroid is coming!!", followed by the crazy outflow. I’ve done a couple of searches on this topic mainly concerning the mayan calendar. I don’t now actually what will happen (like anyone else) but I believe something will happen. I don’t believe that one very intelligent civilisasion like the mayan would built a calendar so precise and that lasted for thousends of years and than just makes it to end like that on a normal day.
I’ve read some comments saying that there are too many theories which would probably mean that all this 2012 theory is a hoax. Well, when reading the end of days story on the bible, you won’t get any clear answer niether on what will really happen. So why do some people believe in fiary tails written on the bible and disbelieve scientist which make theories on real facts????
Your post is kinda confusing to me, what I believe is that no story in the bible is a fairy tale. The bible may not tell you what will happen, there will eventually be an end of days, but the bible doesn't say when that will be.
How can you say that the bible tells fairy tales, that really hurts since I am a great believer about what happens in the bible. Even my grandfather who was an Anglican minister would be ashamed.
The existence of multiple theories doesn’t change the fact that only one theory might turn out to be true. Too bad crackpot theories and intentional misinformation muddy the waters so much that the truth becomes almost impossible to find. It’s like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles.
Well, call me an optimist, but whatever happens, I think we'll be in control more than we know. The fact is, the world IS in need of a "New Age". Everyone hope's for it… An age of peace, love, and harmony… well, the way I see it is if everyone wants this so badly, why don't we take the reins up and all be the heralds of a New Age? We are the peace-makers we've been searching for.
Again, maybe Im just really optimistic, maybe Im a little crazy, who knows?

Hi, so much speculation and so little fact.. Dates are really not important, the fact is many physicists and scientists are now beginning to piece together what is really going on within and outside of our biological bodies and how they are connected to our consciousness. There are a few individuals who have already via other methods discovered these connections and have publicised their findings via books and the internet only to be ridiculed at the time by the general populace and by the scientific community, now we are beginning to see the scientific community do a complete U-turn on their original comentary regarding the findings of those certain individuals, as they are for themselves discovering the very same results, only they are utilising well documented lab experiments to achieve the same result. This worries the powers that be, as people in general are slowly becoming more aware of these ‘abilities’. The abilities I am speaking of are available to all without exception and have been since we began to form conscious thought patterns I.e; a very very long time!..
Some of these folk I speak of that have known the true identity of our collective selves and even the very reasons why we are here (yes I did say that!), have made their findings free to all and have been trying to awaken us to our true potential for a very long time also.
Every culture in existence previously and up to present day has a small hand full of these individuals and you only need to open your eyes to find them. This is the most dificult part.
The majority of us are blind when it comes to the true identity of ourselves as we are so obsessed with our material surroundings, that we fail to appreciate the very ground we walk on and what connection we have to it. Almost as if we have forgotten. One comment above recommends following the animals if it all goes ‘pear shaped’, why and how do you think the animals know of impending danger? When they are floods due, how does the local wildlife population react? and often they act well before we are aware of the danger ahead.

This planet has seen many species over the last 5 billion years or so, many believe there have been intelligent civilisations before us. In my conclusion, and so far you seem to agree with it, numbers affect humans, not nature.

I can show some pattern of change, in the dates in the christian counting alone, in 2012, to which you can attribute all other obsessions.
I can show you 3 main calenders where “end-of-the-world-theories” are actually about beliefs concerning the end-of-the-year (Christ is born on the end of the year and will come to the world at the end of time, Jewish formal JUDGMENT-DAY, is NEW-YEARS-DAY, and also when the mayan calender is over, like when a year calender is over, some people get anxious about it, for example).
I can show you how 2012-dates-numbers-obsessions, are not separate from other dates-numbers-obsessions, especially the 9/11-combos obsessions.

The bible does say we don’t know when Christ will come back or [[any type of natural disasters to be end of the world (I think)]] or how it would end except it give us sign of the end time as we can see according to Matthew Chapter 24 but only a few is fulfill.
This is a bunch of mess, I believe in God and the bible, but there is no reason why people should believed this stuff. My God, My God if only people can open their eyes and see that the bible says we wont know that day. The Mayans may say things and everyone else, Crazy person, claim to be prophet, and a physic person can say what will happen to the future but not the end of the world and they all failed about the end of the world story. For the last 300 or 500 odd years, people has claim when the world going to end but failed it. 2012 is a new one, but tomorrow can be the end of the world.

I'm sorry but your comment is flawed on so many levels. For one, it has been said every generation that "This is the generation.". Second there will be no law forcing worship. Third, there are 3 stages that will take plce before Christ returns. The Rapture, The Great Tribulation, and finally the return. The Rapture will happen before the Tribulation as said in the Bible, and the Tribulation will last 7 years before Christ returns. The Rapture has yet to happen, and there is only 3 years until 2012. If the Rapture happened now, Christ would not return to Earth until 12-15-2016 that is a couple of years off from 2012 my friend.

I dont know what to think of this whole 2012 thing to be honest. one part of me tells me it wont happen the other tells me that it might happen? they been saying for years that the world will end and one day they will say it no one will believe it and it will happen. i'm annoyed with the film 2012 coming out and displaying it everywhere as my 8 year old brother will probably see it and figure it out for himself and be scared until 2012 and not live his life. why should we all live in fear? The way I see it is this. No one can predict the end of the world. Not even the ancient Mayans not even nostradamus. Not even all those doomsayers out there.
Matthew Chapter 24 verse 36 has a clear and definite way of this 2012 stuff and Only God knows when it will end. It could end tomorrow. It could end 20 years from now. Only God knows when this will happen. People are looking at this day as a business. example the 2012 movie. People looking to cash in on the subject.
In closing I will say this. On December 21st 2012 at 11:11 am and 11:11pm Pacific time…… I'm still here and I think that is how everyone else should think about it. God will take care of us all who believe and love him. if you all have any concerns just read John 3:16. The golden verse.

I am aware of all the bad things happenning all around the world … just think of all the children and ppl not having a good meal everyday don't you think that it feels like the end of the world every day for them … Who are we to think that we don't deserve this … Who ever decided that ? This world is not a fair world and sure enough if it's gonna end … maybe it's not a bad thing after all …

Nothing is going to happen! Think about. There is a lot of money being made off of this dooms day prediction, and on Dec 22, 2012 those people who have made $MILLIONS$ will have the last laugh!
The year 2012 will NOT bring about the "end of the world." God created the world that it should NEVER be removed! Ecclesiastes 1:4 (NKJV) One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever.
What about the alignment of the planets on December 21, 2012?
Some have suggested that they will be aligned in a straight line and this will cause an interruption in our Magnetic field causing polar shift.
What about that theory?
it baffles me how some ppl can be soo blinded and naive!! NOONE knows when God is coming back! It is said in the bible. and for people to be scared because the world will be coming to an end…U should not be scared because those of us who believe in God and do as he says live how he says…(keep the sabbath day holy) (which is saturday) then u have nothing to be scared of because when all this happens u will have a level of protection! just be prepared READ YOUR BIBLE and there will be NOTHING to be afraid of! may God bless all of you!
