UFOs, again

Apparently, UFOs have been spotted over Lake Erie. This is about 2 months old news but I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of people who didn’t see the video. Before going into comments and reactions, let’s watch the video:

There are three kinds of reactions for that video. The first possibility can be: “Look at how the medias always turns UFOs stories into a laugh. They just want to hide this from us by making us believe it’s pure comedy and pure nonsense. The governement is hiding something from us and the population needs to know! UFOs Exists!”

The second possibility is: “UFOs are pure human invention and it’s a definitive scam as usual”.

The third possibility, which I prefer is: I won’t say UFOs don’t exists as there’s no way we can be sure of that. In fact, it’s hard to believe humans are the only form of intelligent life in this universe. Anyway, that’s not the point. What I’m sick of seeing is lights in the sky with a poor resolution and a confident UFO hunter saying on T.V.: “There’s no doubt these are UFOs. It’s time for people to know and that is the proof UFOs exists”. People have been chasing UFOs for years and years without being able to provide a real proof of their existence. Now we have High Definition camcorders being more affordable than ever. If you guys want to prove it, it’s now. The technology is there, stop providing cell phone videos.

But of course, they only have the cell-cam with them at the time. I disagree with your response number three. While there's no way we can prove UFOs don't exist, there's no compelling reason to, either. You don't need to disprove what has never been proven. It is possible, even likely, that humans are not the only intelligent life in the universe. It's also possible that other intelligent species visit us. It is highly unlikely, however. With no compelling proof, along with the fact that conceptions of UFOs tend to follow the creative depictions of aliens of the day (in the 50s, it was all about the flying saucers), we can safely say for now that UFOs do not exist.

Thanks for your comment Tom. I agree with “They only have the cell-cam with them at the time”, but I’m talking here about real UFOs hunters, not the average joe. Because there really are UFOs hunters looking for live footage of aliens and they usually have better cams than a cell-cam.

For the rest of your comment, that’s mostly what I say…

    Thanks again for your comment!

OK, there’s so much to be said on this issue and really, where to start?

As a UFO believer I too get frustrated with the sort of ‘evidence’ that ends up on news programs and the attitude with which hese stories are presented. “Ha Ha, another UFO! How wacky!” Gimme a break.

There are a lot of highly credentialed, intelligent people who have dedicated a great deal of time and effort into the UFO phenomonon that deserve to be heard. And there is plenty of evidence to suggest the phenomonon is real. Unfortunately useless stories like the one featured here and the way in which it is put forward do nothing to further the noble cause of these legitimate reserchers.

Of course an Alien Spacecraft isn’t going to touch down in a town square! Any species capable of crossing the galaxy or traversing dimensions would appreciate the enormous social upheaval that would cause. I think our planet is being monitored and has been for centuries. Even in our space faring infancy, mankind has managed to send probes to other planets. Is it such a stretch to assume that other species may have sent probes to our planet?

The UFO subject is a complex tapestry of information and disinformation which cannot be dismissed out of hand.

I agree with the dude in the story. A disclosure is coming. And I think it will occur in our lifetimes. With the advent of the communications revolution it is getting harder and harder to keep secrets and avoid being seen.

I’m no nut. As I’ve stated before on this site, I’m an open minded skeptic. But I think I’ve read enough, seen enough, absorbed enough to accept the UFO phenomonon is REAL and worthy of respect. Shit I even once saw something in the sky which I cannot explain and it freaked the beejesus outta me.

    Rant over.

Here’s another more recent useless article put together by braindead gimps more interested in a redneck building a truck that the actual subject of the story.

Check out the way the bimbo behind the news desk adopts the usual ‘hey this is so zany!’ vaccuous expression while introducing the story.

    Pathetic.
